I'm coming back to a blog post I did back in May of 2006...It was called My Next President.
Check it out...
Hubby and I just ordered our lawn sign, bumper stickers and buttons. I've never put a lawn sign up for anyone but local city counsel candidates.
It has been so long since I have felt like I could get behind any candidate for a major office. I'm trying not to be too "taken" or too naive, but I also am energized and hopeful for the first time since, well, I can't even remember when so I'm going with it.
This is an exciting time in America. The races are very interesting and it is prime time for the youth of this country to learn and participate and take charge.
I am printing out his 64 page booklet. Of all the Dem's I feel he is the best. His words are amazing. One of the biggest things for me is his keeping the lobbyist out of his campaign. I hope he can stay true to that. I am tired of big business running our country. It will be hard for him to accomplish this.

I definitely like him the best also. The cynic in me wonders what the "attack dogs" of the Republican party will dredge up to smear him. (drug use, his nationality, his family link to Islam, etc...)

I definitely am behind him as well. I am voting in the primary here next week. I'm saddened he isn't on the ballot, but we're told to vote noncommitted to give a delegate that represents him a shot.

I know it's a political speech but it sends chills down me spine

@margaret: I'm beginning to think that the Republicans won't have to dig around for dirt since other Dems are taking care of the dirty work for them. So sad.
