Ran across this photo I took of a sign outside of a Napa store last year. It is such a powerful thought. He was wise beyond his years, that Hendrix. Dig his tunes, dig his vibe.

I love Hendrix, and love Janis, love Jim, Kurt, and Ray Charles, - but it's hard to explain to my kids that it seems like the best people in music were the ones most hooked on drugs - ?

What's wrong with us? My 14 year old chuckled last night as he came across a website where he could order a t-shirt that said "I'm already smarter than George Bush" or "If you can read this, you are not The President." He thinks...
