Still haven't had time to sit down and contemplate a meaningful post. A few quick comments instead:
Thrilled to see the coverage this weekend with all of the "Save Darfur" protests. If you don't already know, although there is genocide going on in the Darfur region (over 400,000 people dead), this crisis has been going on all across Sudan for the last 20 years to the tune of over 4,000,000 people! It's about damn time that this is becoming and issue that people are ready to stand up for. Many people that I work with were in DC over the weekend and are sharing their experience with the rest of us.
Also, the Invisible Children Global Night Commute was this weekend. Looking forward to hearing about how the events all over the world went. The one in SF had some pretty good press coverage.
Wanting to write about the immigration issues that are front and center today, but need more time to compose a thoughtful post.
Spring has finally sprung here. And I burnt my nose watching baseball games this weekend! Must remember the visor and the sunscreen!
