As the possibility of a draft sometime in the next few years has been weighing on my mind recently, I was wondering....If there is a draft, and a gay man or woman is drafted, will they get out of service by saying "I'm gay", you know the whole don't ask, don't tell thing (which sounds like a 3 year old putting his fingers in his ears and yelling "I can't hear you, I can't hear you"). Well, what if they tell? Does that "excuse" them from service? We haven't had a draft since that stupid rule was put into place, so we haven't had to face that scenario.
I can just see it now, men and women all over America, making a pact with each other. "Ok, we'll tell them that we are lovers and it get us both out of fighting this lie of a war. Deal? Deal." That would be such poetic justice it makes me giggle.
I am pretty sure that the rules are suspended. It's pretty silly, but when they need people to go and die, they'll take anyone.

Good point, Peter. Funny how that works. We don't want to give 'em any rights, oh, except that all important "right to die for your country."
