So, happy new year to you all! I've been swamped with my new job and getting the kids back to school after their 2 week break. They had way too much fun over the holidays and reality is hitting them hard. We had a great New Year's Eve (that's Darren in the pic, whooping it up) with some old friends and some new ones! I called my sister-in-law who was in Time Square for the big ball drop event and she was having a blast (she's 21, single, college student, no job...life is good), but I have to say that being safe and warm with tasty libations, a few close friends and a hubby who loves to dance is my idea of a fabu evening.
I find myself optimistic for the new year. That is miraculous to me with all of the crap going on in the world. My oldest son, Payton will be graduating from 8th grade this year and then starting high-school. I'll get to visit a new place (which I LOVE) when we go to Denver in February. Yes, Denver in February. Anyone have any long-johns I can borrow? My dear friend Grace will turn 50 this year with a shit-eating grin on her face, I'm sure. My grandfather is still alive which is a blessing and a miracle. Lots of things to be happy about.
Totally random thought, but did any of you see Ashlee Simpson perform at half time during the Orange Bowl last night? Is it just me or is she just a mistake? I hate to be cruel, but SOMEBODY needs to tell her to find another profession. Isn't Jessica going to do the sisterly thing and be honest with her? YIKES.

I went to Summit County in Feb, had a blast...when you are ready, drop me a line and we can meet for lunch. Yes I have long johns. I need to get jumpstarted on the next chapter.

I'm SO glad your New Year's was great. I did much the same, relaxed and enjoyed myself here at home. Denver sound like fun...I've never been but I love snow and mountains so I suppose I'd fit right in.
Glad to hear the job is going well. It's a bitch just starting and the holidays and the kids and all...I feel for you and am going through the same thing!
